Question: Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.
I have been playing violin since I was nine. For me violin is a talent that is so meaningful. I would like to share a story about my long hours of practice and my determination. I have a strict and harsh violin teacher who wants me to love playing violin and improve. I passed violin Grade 6 in London School of Music exams and grade 8 is the highest level. Therefore, I am at a level in which talent is not sufficient without hard work.
I take violin lessons after school and sometimes I stay after the lesson in studio to play for hours to make sure that I put enough work to pass my violin exam. Sometimes even during exam week I spend more time on practicing violin. I wish to emphasize my long practice hours in my story and give examples like I got yellow callus on the tip of my finger after long hours of practice which I am proud of because it indicates the hard work that I have put in. Sometimes after busy school days I rush to y violin lessons so violin means a lot for me. It also helps me to free my mind from daily worries and problems. I wish to tell a story which shows my determination, maturity, talent and passion for violin.
